Harp Lessons in Spring, Texas

I started playing the harp after studying piano for five years. It was an easy transition for me because I was already adept at reading sheet music. Some harp teachers are not willing to start a beginner on the instrument without any background in music theory. I used to be one of these teachers. We are fortunate to have a brick-and-mortar harp store in a nearby town where we can purchase method books to help the beginning harp student learn music theory at the same time. You will need to rent a harp for the purpose of home practice. Our time together will consist of a weekly 50 minute lesson. I will teach you how to tune the harp, replace strings, clean it, and the various beautiful techniques we use to play this glorious instrument!
